Top 10 Operating systems of 2015-2016

Operating systems are today’s only way to use a hardware. Without any operating system we cannot even use a computer or mobile phone. Today we will list most important and popular operating systems can be installed on any computer system. Before we continue with listing. Here are a few quick points how we are differentiating them.
1. User Interface
2. Popularity
3. Scalability
4. Security
5. Technology

#10 in top 10 Operating systems. Solaris

solaris10

Solaris is one of old school Unix operating systems which is more attached with server equipment, however the power of unix still makes it a very mature choice for Corporates and Organizations, but an end user might not receive that taste of juice which can be enjoyed in today’s latest operating systems based on locked kernel.

#09 in top 10 Operating systems. FreeBSD

freebsd

FreeBSD had its time. When it was one of the top Unix based operating systems. However these days CentOS has taken its place for small or medium companies and RedHat or Windows Server has taken its place on corporate level. It is fully accessible to root user. Which means you can change files at any time but make sure you know what you are doing.

#08 in top 10 Operating systems. Google Chrome OS

chrome

In the list of top 10 operating systems 2015 here we have Google Chrome OS. However I personally suppose this is one of the best operating systems for those who have limited requirements. Such as browsing, playing small games etc. But due to its limited functionality we cannot take it to any further place down to this. But deep inside its based on Linux Kernel, so if you are core scripting guy you can always modify it to suite your taste.

#07 in top 10 Operating systems. Windows 10

windows10

Currently in testing stage, this operating system has become much popular. I have tested it personally and I could not find the much difference technically in windows 8.1 and windows 10. But ofcourse I haven’t tested it more than a day so possibly I am wrong. This operating system needs a bit more popularity and should consider fixing bugs to reach the high ranking.

#06 in top 10 Operating systems. Mac OS

macosx

Another unix based operating system and has become the most challenging to windows OS. However because of limitation of devices which can be used to install this operating system makes it less popular. In Mac the main kernel is always locked and just like windows you cannot modify core files much easily.

#05 in top 10 Operating systems. Open Suse

opensuse

Open Source but powerful Linux operating system. Which offers high end services and softwares available for free in its builtin software repository. Clean and attractive UI makes you in love with it seriously.

#04 in top 10 Operating systems. Windows XP

winxp

I would say, In my experience with computers. I have found this in the list of top 10 operating systems. Still being used widely. It is the first operating system to get so much popularity because of its simple and attractive User Interface. Windows XP at the time it was released became the most loving OS overall. But in 2015 other few operating systems from same developing company have taken over it.

#03 in top 10 Operating systems. Ubuntu 14.x

ubuntu14

In the list of top 10 Operating Systems we have Ubuntu. Which is highly customized linux operating system. Having powerly Aptitude system to install almost every useful application in simple commands. However the development team have used the debian as base but now they are so much popular, even people have forgot what exactly is debian. Ubuntu have made it much easier to use Linux operating system for those windows users who love to migrate to linux.

#02 in top 10 Operating systems. Windows 8.1

windows9

New, stylish, secure, and powerful user interfaced windows 8.1 is still on 2nd place. Guess why? Yes exactly the main reason is its heavily changed GUI. Which its customers were not expecting, but still it has become much popular with time. While it was expected to be flopped the day it was released. Hats off to microsoft.

#01 in top 10 Operating systems. Windows 7

windows-7

Most of you are still thinking why not windows xp or why not windows 8. And why Windows 7, here is the quick answer. Because the windows XP was one of the most popular operating systems because of its simplicity and easy functionality. Similarly we assume that the windows 7 is 2nd windows XP, with enhancements in every single module of windows XP. Still fast and secure. Can be installed on any CPU with 1GB ram and support is always maximum unlike windows XP which supported only 4GB.
